Accounting Clerk

At Monroe Restoration, we help community members rebuild their property and lives following a disaster. We are looking for a tech-savvy, reliable Accounting Clerk that is eager to join a collaborative, growing team to make a difference in the lives of others. 

As an Accounting Clerk, you will be an important member of our accounting team, supporting our organization by processing accounts payable, providing a high level of customer service to our customers, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as precisely entering financial and project data. The successful applicant will have data entry experience, be familiar with accounting procedures, have a flair for numbers, have a problem-solving attitude, and have great communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provides clerical and accounting support to the accounting department
• Accurately adds data to ensure all financial information is input correctly into company accounting software
• Provides assistance and support to company personnel
• Assures construction project costs are updated in a timely manner to promote close to real-time costs.
• Researches, tracks and restores accounting or documentation issues and discrepancies

Qualifications:

• Skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks
• High School Diploma is required - An associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
• Experience with data entry; ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
• Well organized
• Aptitude for numbers
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Time management skills
